Niebler, Donald Edward Formerly of Brookfield, was born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the age of 90. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Carol. Survived by his children, Mary Goodrich, Christine Hassler, Kay Redmond, Thomas (Kerstine) Niebler. He is further survived by his 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and brother, Tom Niebler. Don was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School and a 1951 graduate of Marquette University with a degree in Business Administration. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1945-1947. Don was employed by TRW, now Northrup-Grumman in, St. Louis, Southern California and Wisconsin until his retirement in 1986. Don & Carol moved to Alexian Village Retirement home in Milwaukee in 2014. Don loved to travel the world with Carol and enjoyed trips throughout the U.S. as well as Europe, the British Isles, China, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey & Egypt. Don's favorite place of all was his lake home in Lake Tomahawk, WI. He enjoyed canoeing, hiking & biking there with family & friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 9:30 AM until the time of the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wauwatosa (12130 W. Center St.), Internment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, mass offerings or donations to ProLife Wisconsin or Catholic Relief Services would be appreciated.
