Merle R Maltbey (Langsten) - Class Of 1936

 

 Langsten, Merle R. (Née Maltbey) Died peacefully on September 12, 2013, at the age of 94. Born November 26, 1918. Beloved wife of the late Lewis G. Langsten. Survived by her children, Karen (Dennis) Wojahn, Ray (Johanna) Langsten and Mary Lynn (Bob) Hicks; grandchildren Laura (Matt) Kaegebein, Patrick Wojahn (David Kolesar), Elizabeth and Amy Hicks; great - grandchildren Anna, William, Grace, and Emily Kaegebein. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Hazel M. Coleman and Dorothy L. Taughinbaugh. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Merle was a longtime member of Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church, Suburban Woman's Club of Wauwatosa and CPA Wives. She was a retiree of Briggs & Stratton Corp. and WWII Veteran having served in the WAVES for 2 years. She was a resident of Harwood Place for almost 20 years. Visitation on Saturday at Harwood Place, 8220 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa, from 1 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 2 PM. Private inurnment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
